My name is Jasmine, and I’m a 10 year-old activist from Florida with the American Friends Service Committee. I like solving math problems and playing violin. I want to be a doctor when I grow up so I can cure diseases like cancer. I am going on this trip to support our families, so they can stay together forever. I was invited to give a speech at the school board meeting about protecting immigrant families and children. And it helped pass a bill. Being with my parents makes me feel safe because we all get along and love each other. My mom was born Mexico, and has DACA. I don’t want that to get taken away because then we might not be able to stay together. I want President Trump to know that families are forever.
